On April 9th and 10th, designer Don Seon Lee, in the heart of Brera, will transform a shop window into a manifesto for ethical and sustainable fashion
Milan, March 2025 – On the occasion of Fuorisalone 2025 , the Brera district will be enriched by a new artistic installation with a strong conceptual impact: Dong Seon Lee , designer and co-founder of the sustainable brand ID.EIGHT , will be in Milan on April 9th and 10th to paint the window of Walter Calzature and transform it into a work of art. An artistic performance that goes beyond aesthetics: the window will become a visual manifesto to raise public awareness of a new way of conceiving design and fashion, an invitation to reflect on the future of fashion and responsible consumption.
The event further strengthens the connection between the brand and the world of design, bringing the soul of the project out of the product and into the city. But the experience doesn't stop there: during the two days, those who wish can make their pair of ID.EIGHT sneakers unique thanks to live customization by the designer himself. An exclusive opportunity to have a unique piece and take with you a concrete symbol of creativity and sustainability.
ID.EIGHT: the brand that transforms waste into fashion
The ID.EIGHT brand, founded in 2019 in Florence by Dong Seon Lee and Italian product manager Giuliana Borzillo , offers a sustainable alternative to traditional sneakers: its genderless and cruelty-free shoes are made with innovative materials from by-products of the food industry, such as apple peels, grape stalks, corn and mycelium .
Over 70% of the sneaker is made of recycled materials ; the brand has obtained international recognition for its commitment, including the ISO , GRS and VVV+ certifications, the highest level of the Animal Free Fashion rating of the Anti-Vivisection League . Furthermore, thanks to the partnership with Esosport , ID.EIGHT recovers sneakers at the end of their life to transform them into materials for playgrounds and sound-absorbing panels.
